Reflecting the mostly calm, but changeable moods of Emerald Lake in Victoria's Dandenong ranges, this solo piece  employs rubato in it's freest interpretation, leaving room for spontanaiety and encouraging a wide range of expression, articulation and dynamic. There are no extended techniques but there is is a lot of thematic dialogue to explore for the intermediate or advanced musician.
